KISStory: "Creatures of the Night" Released 30 Years Ago

CREATURES OF THE NIGHT - 30 YEARS LATER

It's hard to beleive that it's been 30 years since the release of this great album. Released October 25, 1983, 'Creatures' was the last album to be released on the Casablanca label, final "makeup" album until 1998's "Psycho-Circus," brought back Kiss to go back and record a heavy album that featured Eric Carr's thunderous drums. Although Ace Frehley appears on the original cover, he did not play on the album and solos were left to ghost guitarists. The album was dedicated to Casablanca founder Neil Bogart who passed away during the recording sessions. The tour to support the album was dubbed "The Tenth Anniversary Tour."  The album peaked on the Billboard 200 at #45 with the single "I Love It Loud" at peaking at #36.
