KISStory: 'Greatest Kiss' Released on this day 1997

Greatest Kiss, released on April 9, 1997, is a collection of (and umpteenth) greatest hits from Mercury Records to capitalize on the success of Kiss' Alive/Worldwide Tour. There are four different versions of this collection- The American version includes 16 tracks including 'Shout It Out Loud '96" from Tiger Stadium. The European/Australian version includes 20 tracks along with "God Gave Rock And Roll To You II," along with different track titles than the US version. The Japanese version includes, again 20 tracks and "God Gave Rock And Roll To You II" and "Black Diamond." The fourth and final release, the Mexican version, includes "2,000 Man."

The album peaked on the US Billboard Top 200 at #77, while peaking at #11 on the Australian charts.
